I am sitting on my couch with my roommates watching the 10PM news on Fox, which is a joke to begin with. No self respecting local news program (which is probably a paradox because there is no self respecting local news program, yes, were talking about you Ernie Anastos) should ever have an hour long program. Then again, I guess the joke is on me because I am the one sitting here watching it, and even worse, giving them recognition in my writing. That is besides the point, the thing that really bothered me is the little caption they put underneath peoples names to identify what they do or have done. I understand why they do this for lesser known people, so people who do not listen to the whole story can get a two word synopsis on why they are invading their living room via the television (or televisor as my portly spanish compatriate would say). Fox had a story about Peter Gabriel and his humanitarian work and labeled him a "Music Legend". I have no real issue with this, I would have been a little more comfortable labeling him "musician" or "humanitarian" since that is what the story was about. It is a bit overzealous of Fox, but whatever, it led to some fun banter between me and the roommates about what we could do with some other people's captions, such as Paris Hilton, Michael Jackson, etc. it got ridiculous, but it was fun, I recommend you try it as well. It wasn't until Chuck Norris came on that I became enraged. Let me state that I have nothing against Peter Gabriel, but Chuck Norris was simply labeled as "Actor." The man is a martial arts expert, insert quippy Chuck Norris fact here, and the best Fox could do was "Actor." Next time I hope for their sake that Fox rights this injustice.
Chuck Norris does not hunt because the word hunting infers the probability of failure. Chuck Norris goes killing.- Sorry I couldn't help myself
